Boat Trips

South East Angling offers a variety of short boat trips that allow you to take in the Hook Peninsula and Waterford Harbour from the water. Some suggested trips are listed below, however specific trips can be quoted for on request. All boats are licensed by the Department of Marine and carry all the up to date safety gear. Lifejackets are available onboard for all passengers.

 

Family Adventure

Discover the haunts of pirates and smugglers. Cruise past Loftus Hall … if you dare! Take in some of the local sites such as Duncannon Fort and the Hook Lighthouse. Maybe catch a few fish.

 

Natural History/Whale Watching

Expect to see pilot and humpback whales (between November and March) as well as dolphins, seals and a huge variety of birds (throughout the year). Binoculars are provided.

River Trips

Trips are offered up the Barrow to New Ross or along the Suir to Waterford. Trips can be one way or return.

 

 

 

Historical Tours

The Peninsula is steeped in history dating back to the 12th century. View historic buildings such as the Hook Lighthouse, Duncannon Fort, Martello Towers and Loftus Hall from the sea. Visit historical features that can only be seen from the water include the first forty steps of Boreen na MBan Gorm.
